In addition to White and Red Oak, Talarico's selection includes Cherry, Ash and Sycamore. Check out their selection and pricing today! I just received about 50 bf of their quarter sawn Sycamore and I have to tell you that it is some of the most beautiful lumber I have ever seen! Fantastic grain patterns and a lovely, light coloring that is going to make a great Mission style dish cabinet for my wife's kitchen! Also, the 5/4 boards are every bit of 1 1/4" thick (too many lumber yards skimp on thickness but not Talarico) and most of the boards I got are over 9 feet long and as much as 12 inches wide! With special sections on various "how-to's", gardening, and, my favorite: online applets that 1) calculates the maximum allowable span for floor joists in residential construction, and 2) estimates the quantity of paint that will be needed to paint an area. You just punch in the numbers and their apps do the work for you (not the painting!). They also have an extensive list of home improvement related sites with reviews of each. Lots of quality info at this must see site! (6/11)
