A.J. Saunders writes us about some interesting technology for those sparsely populated noggins:

"I saw an article in Dec 98 Fine Woodworking about Electric Radiant Heat panels from Solid State Heating Inc. (800) 544-5182 I bought several of the "woodshop" series of these ceiling mounted heat panels and they are working out quite well for this bald headed woodworker. Maybe it is the bald head that loves the ceiling mounted heat, but it works in my basement shop just fine on 110 volts. The Woodshop series is the seconds that may have a cosmetic defect, but the panels work just fine."

"Maybe there are some other bald headed woodworkers who could use this efficient way of heating their shop. The panels heat solid objects - not air so a drafty basement is no problem - it is like walking into the sunshine. don't confuse this new technology with the old baseboard resistance heat. This is like a microwave cooking vs a stove cooking."
