You've probably heard of Furniture Designs, Inc. because they are the foremost designers of plans for building fine furniture and have been since 1968. Some of their customers have furnished their homes by building their own furniture from these plans. Other woodworkers use them to build custom furniture for sale to their customers. Furniture Designs Inc. was started by Ernie Stranglen, a professional furniture designer who has designed for many well-known furniture manufacturers.

The company was recently acquired by B. Matthew Jones, proprietor of Creative Woodcraft Plans, Ltd and Wooden Memories. Jones recently stated that "it is important to the woodworking industry that the Stranglen tradition of providing fine furniture plans continue on into the future." A brand new Furniture Designs Catalog is now ready and can be ordered from the new website.
